Het trio To Be Sung brengt samen met pianiste Keiko Shichijo een groot werk van de Duitse Lachenmann en hedendaagse muziek van Chinese oorsprong.
Lachenmanns werk zit vol met hedendaagse technieken, maar is tegelijkertijd ‘romantisch’ en de partituur staat vol met termen als ‘quasi walzer | furioso | appassionato | ruhig doch fließend’.
Het Chinese repertoire kreeg To be Sung toegestuurd en de in Amerika geboren componist Alex Dea. Hij schreef nieuw werk voor To Be Sung,. Klik hier en beluister het alvast.

Het trio To Be Sung werd in 2001 opgericht en sindsdien werken zij met vele componisten en collega’s samen. Naast bestaande composities voert To Be Sung vooral speciaal voor het trio geschreven werk uit. De afzonderlijke leden van To be Sung komen al 14 jaar lang samen om bijzondere projecten te bedenken en uit te voeren. Ruim 30 componisten maakten composities en arrangementen voor hen.

Keiko Shichijo is een in Amsterdam woonachtige Japanse pianiste en fortepianiste. Ze treedt op de hele wereld op met solorecitals en kamermuziek waarbij de nadruk ligt op historische uitvoeringen en muziek uit de 20ste en 21ste eeuw.
